Artisan Crafts / Folding & Papercraft / Origami

Recently was studying origami from an amazing book called "Origami Design Secrets", author by Robert J.Lang.

Here we go, my first ever own designed origami.
Tried a simple 12x12 grid with Box-Pleating technique.
Designed & folded duration: 3hrs
rules: Square paper, no cut.

If you were to try to recreate the monkey as a 3D model how close could you get? It'd be interesting to see a side by side comparison of something real and a digital recreation of it.
